We are a Canadian environmental company founded by Albert Cerenzie in the year 2000 to commercialize the Cerenzie Process, a patent, cost effective, Canadian Environmental Technology Verified process, for the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

GGSSI has since invested its innovative skills into pioneering the development of new technologies and initiatives for industries and communities to reduce or absorb GHG emissions, and quantify emissions reduced or absorbed into tradable carbon credits in conformance with the planning, design, quantification, monitoring and reporting protocol of the IPPC, GHG Protocols and ISO14064.

GGSSI’s industry wide and internationally recognized carbon credit generation projects include but not limited to the following products and technologies.

Products and Technology

• The Cerenzie Process: The Patent, multi-sector Cerenzie Process is a proven, cost effective GHG reduction technology which employs a combination of new technology that uses recapturing of waste gasses and converting them to a liquid form, with the support of pure oxygen combustion, membrane separation and ozonation scrubbing mechanisms without compromising plant production or remote facility locations.

• Trees-to-Credit Process: A novel industry-community partnership in absorbing atmospheric CO2 through growing of fast growing, economical viable and environmentally adaptive trees species using the latest conservation agriculture (reduced tillage) techniques and generate carbon. GGSSI welcomes sponsorship from financial institutions and businesses interested in offsetting their GHG emissions and purchasing carbon credit from these projects. • Flares-to-Credit Process: As a consequence of the human health and environmental impacts of flaring, legislation has been developed around the world with a goal to reducing routine flaring (gas that meets an economic threshold for conservation) at producing wells and production facilities. GGSSI is a leader in marketing of a patent low emission burner technology with 99% burner efficiency, with enclosed flaring equipment, applicable in sour wells, tight holes, or when drilling in close proximity to populated areas. This cost-effective, technologically superior combustion provide a standard for oil companies and other facilities to measure emissions and to convert emissions reduction to tradable carbon credits. • No-flares-to-Credit Process: Through compression of marketable waste gases otherwise flared in the oil and gas sectors and converted to carbon credits. It is the process for recovering Waste Gas Feed for no-flares from enchantment oil recovery or from industry waste gases. Refer to this presentation of Waste Gas Recovery for liquifying the process.

• On-Site Nitrogen System: The On-Site Nitrogen System is a enhancement oil recovery and drilling technology. The hydrostatic head of a oil fluid is intentionally designed to be lower than the pressure of the formation being UBD (under balance) drilled. The induced state may be created by adding, N2 to the liquid phase of the drilling fluid.

• Carbon Neutral Planning by GGSSI for municipalities, private and public sectors through drawing of a carbon neutral plan to measure and manage GHG emissions through eco-efficiency in-house practices and buying of offsets in line with existing local legislations. • Climate Change Opportunities for Businesses: As climate change does not only create new risks, costs and liabilities, but also generate economic opportunities, such as investments in carbon sequestration projects, renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency projects, emissions trading, and climate change related microfinance presented by GGSSI.

• Identification and Monitoring of Gas Compositions: GGSSI can provide equipment and technical services for GHG emissions identification and analysis as the first step in quantifying and documenting the composition of a variety of gases according to the ISO standards established for project baseline requirements under the Kyoto Protocol. This will allow clients to know the volume (quantity) and composition of the GHG emissions that they are releasing into the atmosphere.

• Training of Environmental Monitors and Workers in the Oil and Gas Industry: GGSSI is dedicated to assisting the education, training and implementation of technologies in the emerging Carbon Credit Market, targeting specialized training courses designed to help improve the environment and to protect property and the lives of workers.

GGSSI - Pioneers in the emerging Global Carbon Market

Canada ratified the Kyoto Protocol on December 17, 2002, committing the country to reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 6% below 1990 levels between 2008 and 2012. So far, the federal government has not implemented the treaty, but has instead advocated flexible, domestic and long-term goals for emissions reductions making the case for industries to face an increasingly regulated environmental framework to significantly reduce their GHG emissions.

Despite the uncertainties surrounding the Kyoto Protocol, a global carbon market has emerged (refer to our Market Page), fuelled by a growing perception that the future will be carbon-constrained and/or will have to be less fossil fuel dependent. In the near term, the constraints are reflected in the Kyoto Protocol, which in turn motivate governments, corporations and international entities to take proactive measures to hedge against possible regulatory measures.

One thing is for certain, that the market for technologies to reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) will grow, and technologies like the Cerenzie Process offered by GGSSI, will be highly prized by a wide variety of industries world wide.

Since GGSSI's founding in year 2000, much progress has been made to date:

  • Has licensed the Cerenzie Process and working other innovative technologies
  • GGSSI is a host organization for CECAB (The Canadian Environmental Certification Approvals Board) which is responsible for the certification of environmental practitioners in Canada.
  • Has been engaged in helping to define Certification Standards for Canada's Greenhouse Gas Professionals and networking with other greenhouse professionals in Canada as shown on the photos and on the ECO Canada Networking Luncheon, Wednesday, September 2, 2009 in Edmonton
  • Is working with various Educational Institutions in promoting and developing a certified training program in the GHG management

GGSSI conducts its business through direct sales, technology licensing, joint ventures and the provision of training and consulting services. On a case by case basis, it may also acquire equity or royalty interests in projects involving the capture and sequestration of C02.
