With an oilfield career spanning three decades, Brian Lunan has been an active participant in various reservoir drilling enhancement projects working both the operating side and service side of the Oil and Gas industry in North America and in over 60 International countries. In particular he has worked and lectured on the new technologies of Advanced Underbalanced Drilling Systems, and authored over 20 publications on the topic. He is a Consulting Reservoir Drilling Exploitation Engineer who has been integral to the development of new technology for carbonate, sandstone and heavy oil reservoirs.

Further he has developed detailed technical materials for interactive instructional Oil and Gas workshops. Working as part of a Domestic and/or International team, he has successfully exploited by-passed hydrocarbons by applying the Lunan Stage Gate Process for horizontal UB, B & OB drilling technologies and advanced Stimulation Systems. He also developed a tool system and an analysis system for pre and post fracture evaluation.

During 2007/2008 his focus has been on Well and Reservoir optimization working Trinidad with the SGP to exploit bypass pay opportunities in Olds Fields. In addition he has become a leader in the entire Shallow Gas and Coal Bed Methane exploration and development process from the Drill Bit to Surface Facilities. As of Mar 2008 Mr Lunan has been involved in a new Underground Drilling, Completion and Production Process (MUEOR). Mr Lunan holds a B. Sc Hons in Metallurgy from Strathclyde University, Glasgow and a M. Sc with Credits in Petroleum Engineering and Exploration from Aberdeen University, Scotland, UK.

Albert Cerenzie – President & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Cerenzie has been a pioneer in the gas, liquid and solids separation business for 23 years and founded Greenhouse Gas Separation Systems Inc. in January 2000. He is the inventor of certain designs and processes of a confidential and proprietary nature relating to flue gases or the separation and capture of greenhouse gases emissions.

Mr. Cerenzie has a strong background in the management, design and manufacturing industries. He was the first person in Canada to use on-site nitrogen membrane systems and booster compressors in the area relating to under balance drilling. Today under balanced drilling is a multi-billion dollar market and Mr. Cerenzie's process is now the de-facto standard used around the world. Mr. Cerenzie's work with membranes started in 1994 when he conducted research and development using micro porous hollow fibers to achieve efficient CO2 separation from flue gases.

He holds a Canadian patents pending for his greenhouse gases separation technology. As President and CEO, Mr. Cerenzie sets strategic goals for both the short-term success and long-term growth of GGSSI. His initial focus is on establishing GGSSI in Canada and the USA and certain international markets such as Algeria and Nigeria. He is responsible for the day to day operations of GGSSI and will hire the experienced management team needed to accomplish the company's goals as outlined in its business plan. A full complement of manufacturing, construction and commissioning staff will be put in place as demand warrants. Initially Mr. Cerenzie will source people who are familiar with his process and who have worked with him in the past. He will also direct and coordinate all R&D activities.

Sorin Buda’s experience consists of business development, marketing strategies for the oil and gas industry, technical sales and fundraising. In his previous position as VP of Marketing & Sales he developed a marketing plan to reach the target market for the Eco-Friendly Natural Gas Separation System Technology. The local target market comprising of 200+ Natural Gas Producers with offices in Calgary Alberta, Canada, had an unparalleled potential for growth of the company. After a 6 month marketing study and contacts made, he established communications with 25+ Natural Gas Producers, several Industry Associations and Government Organizations that has placed the company in a great position to start the sale of the technology.

Sorin’s efforts provided the company an opportunity and a written invitation from the Office of the Minister of the Environment, on behalf of the Honorable Jim Prentice, Minister of the Environment regarding a meeting with officials at Environment Canada Oil, Gas and Alternative Energy Division. The successful presentation delivered by Sorin in 2010 created several opportunities for the company. His efforts to promote the company lead him to meet with the officials from “Alberta Innovates” who have offered to provide their expertise. Also CETAC-WEST Canadian Environmental Technology Advancement Corporation, were invited to enter their program of Marketing the company’s products to their Oil and Gas Contactors/Agents. Presently contacts with IRAP Industrial Research Assistance Program Representative and EnCana’s Environmental Fund Representative, have been offered for funding purposes.

In the international arena, after only 2 weeks of communications with the Colombian Oil and Gas Company, ECOPETROL, Sorin was personally invited by Mr. Javier Genaro Gutiérrez Pemberty, (President of ECOPETROL) to come to Bogota, Columbia for a week of presentations and negotiations. They have expressed extreme interest in GGSSI's technology.

Sorin has also been invited to present technology to PTAC Petroleum Technology Alliance Canada and by the Technology for Emission Reduction and Eco-efficiency (TEREE) committee. The committee has expressed interest in seeing the Technology this year.

The Petroleum Technology Association of Canada (PTAC) invited Sorin to be one of the presenters in the 2010 Calgary Global Petroleum Conference. This was an important event for the company, and was received based on the marketing campaign developed by Sorin, with a headline chosen by PTAC from over 200 applicants. This presentation offered great exposure to increase the global awareness of GGSSI's technology.

Sorin’s 5 years experience in fundraising has brought the company multiple offers for funding operations, from private investors, environmental/clean-tech funds, private funds and angel investors.

Sorin’s role at GGSSI is to develop a new strategy for bringing the company to the next level and increase the company’s technology awareness worldwide.

Richard (Ryszard) Petela has received all his scientific degrees at the Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice, Poland, where as the professor (1956-1984) in mechanical engineering, has researched and lectured courses in engineering thermodynamics, energy conversion processes, heat and mass transfer, combustion and fuel technology and supervised 73 Ph. D and M. Sc. dissertations.

He was the co-founder of the Polish scientific school of exergy and the founder of the Silesian research school of combustion. He was the university president, member of the Committees of the Polish Academy of Science, the scientific consultant at the Ministry of Chemical Industry and Science for the hybrid gasification process and the scientific and technical advisor for steam power stations, non-ferrous metallurgy and steel industry. He was the coordinator of the government research programs (Energy and Coal).

With his research team he implemented several technological ideas in the steel industry furnaces. He was the member and licensed expert of the Polish Mechanical Engineers and Technicians Association, the vice-president of the Silesian Section of the Polish Consultant Association and the member of the scientific boards of four other organizations. Over many years he carried out the editorial work for the University Research Archives and was the member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the quarterly Archiwum Combustionis edited under the auspices of the Polish Academy of Science. Since 2003 he is the Associate Editor for the Journal of Solar Energy. After the martial law in Poland, as the former activist of the Solidarity movement in the scientific community, he immigrated in 1984 to Canada. He was researching and teaching as the visiting professor (1985-1989) at the Mechanical Engineering of Calgary University.

As the research officer (1989-1992) of the Alberta Research Council he was involved in coal upgrading processes. Since 1992 as the President of the consulting company Technology Scientific Ltd. he patented the method for intensification of the processes within a controlled velocity field in gaseous-solid-liquid fluids (agglomeration of coal, recovery of gold, soil cleaning, agitation chemical processes), and a silencer for attenuation of the noise of sonic and supersonic gas jets discharged urgently to the atmosphere. He studied also the theory of utilization of waste heat at low temperature, and consumption of energy and exergy and carbon dioxide emission in an ironmaking process. He was the member of the American Chemical Society, the New York Academy of Science and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. In 1977 awarded with The Knight Cross of the Order of Restitution of the Republic of Poland, (Krzyz Kawalerski Orderu Odrodzenia Polski).

He was the principal investigator in 74 projects for industrial and scientific institutions, author or coauthor of 158 scientific and technical papers, 12 patents and 18 books and university text books, and 89 presentations at national and international conferences.

Professor Jinliang Xu – Senior Advisor for China

Prof. Jinliang XU is the Dean of the School of Renewable Energy, director of the Beijing Key Laboratory of New and Renewable Energy, North China Electric Power University. He is the supervisor of the research group of 6 doctors and several postgraduate students. There are still some huge laboratory rooms with infrastructure ready for new joint international research to be developed in the areas of building energy efficiency, geothermal energy, energy storage, desalination, solar energy utilization, simulation of micro/nano scale heat transfer and CO2 capture. The NCEPU is a key technical university in China and is recently dynamically developing and well supported by the Government.

Prof. Jinliang XU received his Ph.D at the Department of Power and Energy Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University, in 1995. He joined Tsinghua University as a post-doctor from 1995 to 1997. He worked in Florida International University (USA), University of Notre Dame (USA), and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) from 1998 to 2001. He was a Professor and the director of the academic committee of Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, Chinese Academy of Science, setup the micro energy system laboratory, from 2002 to 2008. He received the National Natural Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2008. His current research interests include the solar and geothermal energy utilization and power generation, micro energy system, and micro/nano scale heat transfer. He published 60 articles in referred international journals. He is a referee for 14 international journals. He presented five keynote speeches in international conferences, and served as the track, or session chair for the international conferences. Recently he is preparing a review paper on the enhanced geothermal systems. He is co-organizer of the Second International Beijing Power and Energy Conference in October 2011, (IASTED).

Having graduated from Waterford Institute of Technology in Ireland, Moctar specialized in International Business Strategy, International Marketing, Communications, International Human Resource Management, Transnational Management, and International Political Economics.

Moctar started with GGSSI in June 2004, and as a senior advisor for projects in Africa, in 2009.

During Moctar's 6 years of experience and active research with GGSSI, he has excelled in GHG management, insisting on initial carbon surveys, site assessment and GHG inventory, to match the project realities of a certified GHG Practitioner involving a group of environmental engineers and host company's experts, as is GGSSI's company policy.

Project design and quantification methodology MUST be done by a certified GHG Practitioner, such as Moctar, because it is essential to understand the process, be familiar with all other internationally recognised guidelines and protocols (especially CDM methodologies) and can do a credible job to not only get approved initially, but to the end point - certification.

Moctar is fluent in a number of languages including French, Arabic and Portuguese.

Victor Mazur, D.Sc., Ph. D., M.Sc. – Senior Advisor, Ukraine

Victor Mazur received his degrees (M. Sc. -1969 and Ph. D. – 1974) in thermo physics and molecular physics from the Odessa State Academy of Refrigeration, Ukraine, and the D. Sc. degree (1988) in thermal engineering, physical chemistry, thermo physics and molecular physics from St. Petersburg Institute of Technology, Russia.

Since 1987 he is the Head of Thermodynamics Department of the Odessa State Academy of Refrigeration and was also the Vice-rector in R&D of this Academy. He was lecturing thermodynamics, mathematics and operational research and was the visiting scholar at universities in Utrecht and Paris. His practical experience initiated in 1969 as a research engineer working 6 years in Odessa Institute of Refrigeration Industry.

His main area of scientific interest is global phase behavior of supercritical fluid mixtures; thermodynamics of supercritical water. Other areas are artificial neural network in thermodynamics and fluid phase equilibria. The currently developed areas are nanofluids, Pareto optimum decision in fluid phase equilibria, azeotropy prediction, thermodynamics and sustainable development.

He is the author or coauthor of over 100 peer refereed articles, over 40 communications to scientific meetings, author of 2 books and 2 patents. He is an active member of various international scientific organizations, and serves as associate editor and editorial board member on various international journals.
